How does the Resale Price Calculator work?
This tool was developed especially for resellers, small shop owners, and importers who buy products in batches (e.g., from wholesalers or overseas) and need to calculate the correct selling price, considering all involved costs.
The Problem of Freight and Tax Apportionment
When you buy 10 different products in the same order, you pay a single freight fee and sometimes a single tax fee. The most common mistake is to divide the freight equally by the quantity of products, which distorts the real cost.
Practical Example: You buy a pen for $5.00 and a coat for $200.00. The freight was $50.00. If you divide the freight by 2 ($25 for each), the pen will cost $30.00 (an absurd 500% increase) and the coat $225.00 (a small increase).
The Correct Solution: Our calculator performs proportional apportionment based on value. Items that cost more absorb more of the freight cost. In the example above, the coat would absorb most of the freight, keeping the pen's price competitive.
